Puppy Programs

At Opulent Giant Schnauzers, our puppies are intentionally developed through structured lifestyle and training programs designed to support confidence, stability, obedience foundations, and long term success.

Rather than simply placing puppies into homes, we focus on matching each puppy based on temperament, lifestyle compatibility, training goals, and family expectations.

Training timelines. we understand that every family has different goals, lifestyles, and expectations. For that reason, we offer multiple development pathways designed to meet families at various stages of their journey.

Whether you are looking for a young puppy to raise yourself or a highly developed companion with advanced training and environmental conditioning, our programs are designed to provide the level of development that best aligns with your needs.

Unless otherwise requested in advance, all puppies come with tails docked and dew claws removed in accordance with traditional breed standards.”

The Opulent Foundation Program

Starting Investment: $10,500

A 50% non-refundable developmental retainer is required to enroll and reserve your puppy. The remaining balance is due no later than one week prior to go-home.

The Foundation Program is designed for families wanting a more structured puppy prior to take-home. Puppies in this program remain with us significantly longer to complete professional obedience foundations, confidence development, environmental exposure, household structure, and ear cropping with full aftercare, all under the guidance of our contracted personal protection trainer.

This program is designed for families who want to bypass many of the most demanding early puppy stages while still enjoying the experience of raising a young puppy.

Puppies remain with us and our training partner beyond the traditional go-home age to complete two full months of professional board-and-train work, foundational obedience, and structured socialization. High-drive and advanced working prospects are not offered through this tier and may be retained exclusively for our advanced training programs.

Family Participation Required

Enrollment in the Foundation Program requires active family participation throughout the puppy’s development, including scheduled visits, handler-introduction sessions, and a final transition/handoff appointment prior to go-home. This ensures the puppy bonds appropriately with its new family and that household routines are established before placement. Specific participation requirements are outlined in the Program Agreement at enrollment.

Estimated Go-Home Timeline

Puppies within the Foundation Program typically remain with us until approximately 16 weeks of age, allowing time for two full months of professional training plus complete recovery and posting from ear cropping.

This extended stay allows puppies to:

• Develop consistent routines under experienced, structured handling

• Build a stronger foundation before transitioning into their new home

• Recover fully from ear cropping under proper supervision and aftercare

Families receive regular updates and progress reports throughout the extended stay period.

Ear cropping is performed by a licensed veterinarian and is included as part of the Foundation Program. Timing is determined based on each puppy’s individual growth and development.

• Professional ear cropping performed under veterinary care
